As Spring Break begins in my final practicum, I am reflecting upon the experiences I have had thus far in my Grade 2/3 classroom. My biggest “Aha!” this practicum, is that I truly love being a teacher. I have found my groove, and I am ready to enter this profession! My biggest strengths are in relationship building and classroom management, and my biggest area to work on is finding my balance in the world of assessment. I truly adore each and every one of my students. It is almost hard to believe that I will be swapping out sets of students each year! How crazy is that? I have formed such strong bonds with these children and I can’t imagine caring this much for another group of children each year. I can’t wait to get started!
