My name is Nina Paterson and I am an Elementary Year 2 Teacher Candidate at the University of Northern British Columbia. 
I was born in Prince George, raised in the Shuswap, and finally found my way back home to Prince George last year, when I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. This past year has been the adventure of a lifetime. I have learnt so much about myself, my passions, and my pedagogy. In the UNBC education program, I discovered my personal strengths in organization and creativity, and I found a passion for outdoor education, place-based learning, and the power of inquiry and collaboration. 
Outside of Education, I am a world traveller, an outdoor explorer, a devout reader, an animal lover, and a multi-media arts creator! 
I look forward to using this platform to connect with like-minded educators and life-long learners.
